The number 1 & 3 bus travels between Santa Pola & Alicante.
The number 8 bus travels between Santa Pola and the Airport
There is also a circular bus which travels round Gran Alacant. (Urbano Gran Alacant)
NEW!! In August 2023 a new bus service to Elche was introduced takes less than 50 minutes.

1. Tourist Road Train
The best way to travel around and see Gran Alacant is by using the local circular road train. There are 12 stops along the circular route, and it takes around 1 hour to complete the full circuit. Two popular stops to catch the train are either outside the Mercadona supermarket at the commercial centre, or right outside the Carabassi Complex.
Ticket prices (March 2019) are: €4.00 for Adults, Kids from 4 yrs are €2.50, and Under 4’s travel for free. Bonus Book of 10 Tickets is €35.00. One ticket covers you for the full circular trip, and you can hop on and off along the route as you please.

2. Circular Bus
There is also a circular bus service which takes a similar route to the road train. The ‘Bus Urbano’ is quicker, and only takes 20-30 mins to complete the circuit. Each journey ticket costs €1.50 or you can buy 10 tickets for a discounted €12.00

3. Local Taxi
There is a local taxi service although limited. There are generally two taxis which are stationed in front of the Lidl supermarket at the commercial centre. You can also pre-book by calling 0034 96541 1111.
4. Walking
We find the best way to get around Gran Alacant is on foot, so we wouldn’t normally hire a car. Lower GA is quite flat, so walking can be a pleasure. Here are the approx walking times between the main areas of Gran Alacant. Please note – Av de Escandinavia is situated in upper Gran Alacant which will involve a very steep hill.
